Revolution of England is famous as Glorious Revolution of 1688. Particularly after 1688, the monarchy which emerged in Britain was one limited by a constitution.

Overview:

England was dealing with political turmoil during reign of James II. 
James II was a Roman Catholic ruler. The main aim of the revolution was to liberate the people from the worship for Catholics.

Whigs and Tories united against the ruler James II. They invited the William of Orange , ruler of Holland to succeed the English throne and save Englishmen from the tyranny of Catholics.

William of Orange accepted the invitation and came to England to succeed the throne. James II fled from England to France. Since then this revolution is called as Bloodless Revolution or Glorious Revolution of England.

After Effect:
·        End of despotic rule of James II
·        End of catholic tyranny
·        Supremacy of Parliament was established
·        Modern budgetary system was introduced
·        Provision that no roman catholic can wear the crown of England
·        Bill of rights was recognized

Conclusion:
The ultimate outcome of the Revolution was the discrediting of the idea of the divine right of kings, the belief that parliament was supreme in political matters, and that the English monarch had to rule in a manner which was limited by a constitutional agreement.
